You want to prevent your rabbit sliding around the bottom of its carrier during the train or bus journey. The twon is populated with lots of other animals and you can see them going about their day and doing lots of different things. I can see this book being a big hit and I will predict children will want to read it over and over again. Bunnies on the Bus’ is around A4 in size and is filled with lots of very colourful illustrations and text on some thick matt paper. Repetitive phrasing in the rhyming verses adds to the frenzied atmosphere that quickly ensues, the author’s British origins evident in some of the word choices: “Pandas at the crossing! A blanket or towel will provide your rabbit with comfort, security and will provide him/her with extra grip. Pupils could very easily draw maps of Sunnytown or their own localities to serve as planning tools for their stories and even support locational knowledge in Geography lessons.
