I LOVE transformation! It’s such an integral part of what I do, and Alison’s shoot experience is a sublime example of that. Alison is a self-proclaimed tech geek, shy, modest, and feeling “caught in a girlish disposition and figure.” She wanted to call out the WOMAN inside – bold, sexy, and daring – with a dash of quirky throw in.

After thousands of hours of experience photographing hundreds of women, I’ve found that most women want to tone up before they’re photographed. Yet, many claim that they don’t have time, or even worse, they engage in methods that yield slow or subpar results Your beautiful photography, Christa Meola! So seductive! I thought, ‘Damn I need to create a mobile app with your images and my seductions.’ Haha! Which we did! Yay. I LOVE the pics! I wish I would have recorded Jason when he flipped through them with me. I don’t know how to describe how I felt watching him pause and gasp at all the different pictures! I can’t thank you enough! Jason says “Thank you VERY much” too.

First, I met with three boudoir photographers to learn the “rules” of boudoir.

Using props that fit the wedding’s theme is a nice idea. Using wedding decoration colors is also a good idea if there is no specific theme. You can include the flowers that are used as decoration, too. It’s been a whirlwind since my creativeLIVE workshop in February. So many exciting projects happening currently, but I want to share a few pics from the fabulous boudoir party I had with Kenna and Celeste of creativeLIVE! Tasteful, classic nude portraits are some of my favorites to take in studio. This week we’re gathering some of our top nude boudoir photos that we’ve captured over the last few years into one post. Christa not only gave me THE most amazing gift in portraits that I will treasure for the rest of my life, but she also gave me the gift of pushing myself well beyond my comfort zone. The shoot itself was a magical experience. I was giddy but also unsure of myself. By the end of the shoot I felt amazing inside and out because I had soaked up Christa’s smile, laughter, energy, creativity, beauty and confidence. I was blown away when I saw the resulting photos. My heart leaped. I couldn’t stop grinning and saying out loud “is that really me?” YES. That is me – those are my eyes, that is my smile and that is my spirit. Thank you Christa. When can we do it again?

During your photoshoot, I will guide and direct you the entire time.In my experience a good plan is the key to getting the best boudoir photos from your session. Don’t worry, none of it is very hard, but knowing all the little tasks and when to do them will compound into an amazing outcome. By figuring out your preparation strategy beforehand, you'll find yourself more at ease during your shoot knowing you’ve shown up fully prepared. Here, together, we'll outline the entire session, diving deep into the nuances of my portfolio to pinpoint your preferred image styles. Once I know more about the details of your intended session, I can then help guide you with:

iv. Hair usually styles best when not freshly washed so we advise that you wash your hair the day before, and arrive without it styled and with no product in it. Hair extensions can add that extra volume of glamour when needed, however, this should be fixed before your shoot.Do not feel embarrassed to ask to do nude boudoir photos. Your photographer is a professional and they know how nervous you are going to be. They will definitely break the ice so that you can be you. Your boudoir photographer will explain to you what the dos and don'ts are and the different styles, like Implied nude photography vs nude art. All you have to do is show up and try to relax! You may choose to do full nude photos, partial or implied. It all depends on your comfort level. Beautiful, sexy boudoir photography doesn’t depend on full nudity. The right lighting, pose, lingerie, and facial expression can create powerful, sexy images. Implied nudity is where a photograph is suggestive of nudity but not revealing and that can be equally compelling. Most regular boudoir photography is very provocative and partners do end up loving the photos, but they will definitely wish there was more showing. I had such a blast and you’re both amazing women. For this set, we wanted to create slightly androgynous portraits with a fashion feel. Elegant yet strong. Beautiful and fun… i. We recommend moisturising your skin regularly in the run-up to the day, as well as applying a light moisturiser on the morning of your shoot. As you will have a lot of skin on show, hair removal (if desired) is important too but we recommend getting this done a couple of days before, or on the morning if this works for you. After a brief consultation on arriving at our private studio, our specialist boudoir stylist will spend up to an hour pampering you in preparation for your time in front of the camera. Based on the boudoir video style you require, our stylist who is a professional makeup and hairstylist knows what looks best in front of the camera and as such will advise you on the best looks to go for.

Please note that studio lights and camera lens’s make makeup appear a lot lighter and have less impact than in real life, therefore our stylist may apply your make-up slightly heavier than you would probably usually wear yours to ensure it has the maximum impact in your video. For the ultimate glamorous look during your shoot, we tend to recommend styling your hair down, either straight and sleek or with lots of volume and curly, as this allows a little bit more freedom during the shoots and ultimately looks a lot more glamorous. However, if you would like your hair styled differently, please inform our stylist who will be happy to style your hair as required. So here’s the mission. I basically knew I had to create photos of Mrs. P that were so hot, they would make her husband forget porn existed. I also knew I needed to keep this thing reasonably tasteful because I really care about that kind of thing. Is it even possible to pull off both tasteful and provocative at the same time? Hard maybe… Depends on who you are I guess. Karen mentioned that although she’s playful and silly most of the time, she wanted to show that she can be sexy and provocative, too. She said she felt like she has never really “oozed sexiness” overtly, and that she’d really love to capture the serious sexpot woman she knows is in there in addition to the playful girl.
